Eh, you know, stuff

Nick Hornby goes to prison to talk with a prison book club about his latest novel:
We start talking about my book. None of them confesses to hating it, which is almost certainly a tribute to their politeness, but which I inevitably took to be a testament to my genius.

Robert Zemeckis is making Beowulf? Why is this happening? Isn’t there some old TV shows that haven’t been turned into movies yet? I’m sure Zemeckis could do wonders with Mr. Ed. Maybe he could team up Mr. Ed with Forrest Gump. I offer up some sage advice from Annie Hall that I somehow left off my epic list of movie quotes last month: “Never take a class where they make you read Beowulf.”

I don't know if any of you are familiar with the 33 1/3 line of books (I have only read this one)
, but there is a blog where you can read all about them. Interesting note: Colin Meloy of The Decemberists wrote the book on The Replacements' Let It Be. This post here has the full list of current and future releases. Earlier Scott asked me what album I would write a book about. I'm compiling my list now.

Looks like
someone would write about Terence Trent D'Arby's Symphony or Damn.

Wow. Staind has had three #1 albums in a row ?! That's crazy.

I can't stand Deion Sanders but you've got to see this picture. As much as I can't stand Deion Sanders, that goes double for Amy. If for any reason she would ever bump into him in public, I really think she'd lose her shit and just start beratting him with insults.

Kanye West
speaks out against homophobia in hip-hop. I figured a man responsible for the line, "She got hair so long that it look like weave / Then she cut it all off, now she look like Eve," might be a bit family friendly. Maybe his cousin wrote that line.

I don't know if I'd call Andruw Jones "voluptous" but apparently The Sports Guy's Intern thinks as much:

As if looking for a new challenge, Andruw has continued his defensive dominance even while gradually adopting a body type that can best be described as "voluptuous." It's like watching the Hamburglar play center better than anyone else in the game.
